Cardi B is gearing up to release her highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Am I The Drama’, set to drop on  September 19, and she’s turning her album rollout into an major event. Ahead of the release of her new album, the Grammy-winning rapper revealed she will host a series of meet-and-greet pop-up events in select cities across the U.S.

In a recent instagram reel, Cardi made a special announcement to her fans that she’s organizing meet and greets across the country. She explains “Due to the ‘Imaginary Playerz’ music video, Atlantic Records has done some deductions to my album’s budget,” she said in a video posted to her social media accounts. As she jokingly mentions she has only “$50 left to promote her new album Am I The Drama?”, Cardi also joked that she’s hitting the road to “sell these CDs and vinyls myself” or else she might risk “getting sent back to the strip club.” With her humor, she explained that Atlantic Records “doesn’t have enough funds” to promote ‘Am I The Drama’, so she’s taking it back to basics with an old-school meet and greet pop-up tour. This creative rollout not only showcases Cardi’s funny personality but also taps into the nostalgia of traditional album promotions, where artists connected directly with fans face-to-face.

How Fans Can Get Meet and Greet Passes

To attend, fans must sign up through Cardi B’s official website and purchase a CD or vinyl from the local store hosting the event. Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Mark your calendars and save the date. Here are the select cities.

  • Friday, September 19th at Long Island, NY
  • Saturday, September 20th at Easton, PA
  • Sunday, September 21st at New York, NY
  • Monday, September 22nd at Atlanta, GA
  • Tuesday, September 23rd at Houston, TX
