AIMAN: FROM QUEENS TO LA, BUILDING A LEGACY IN HIP-HOP

Born in Queens, NY, and raised in East Stroudsburg, PA, Aiman (pronounced I-min) has come a long way from rapping over YouTube beats in his backyard. Now based in Los Angeles, the independent Hip-Hop artist blends raw lyricism with R&B textures and experimental production, each project capturing a different chapter of his life. “I’m a storyteller,” Aiman says. “There isn’t only one way to tell a story.”

His journey began unexpectedly in high school when a history class project turned into his first rap. That one joke led to mixtapes, a move to LA in 2020, and the release of Spades and his most recent project, SO HELP ME GOD. The latter stands out for its aggressive, industrial edge and deeply personal writing—partly crafted alongside his late friend and mentor, whose influence continues to drive Aiman’s career.

Musically, Aiman draws inspiration from Kanye West (up to Donda 1), The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole, aiming to one day stand shoulder-to-shoulder with industry greats. His 2025 focus? Growing his LA fanbase, achieving a viral moment, and solidifying his presence as a standout in the genre.

Currently, he’s promoting the visual for WATCH ME from SO HELP ME GOD while working on two new projects: a collab tape with Yayo Ant titled Weed & Fashion and his next solo release, ‘For I Am Lost,’ set to drop later this year.

“I want my music to give people a different sound and experience than they’re used to,” Aiman says. “And trust me—this is just the beginning.”
