With her new debut solo album on the way, Chole Bailey gives fans a taste of what’s to come with her new single, “Pray It Away.” Her new single is powerful and her voice is angelic. From the vocals, the message, and the lyrics everything is flawless. “Pray It Away” details the feelings of a failed relationship. In the lyrics, Chole is struggling between pain and getting revenge.

She’s looking above to pray away her hurt singing, “Lord knows I’m tryin’, I pray every night/But I can’t help that I’m messed up in the head/Tryna be saved, but you gonna need savin’/’Cause you got someone else in my bed/Call on the Lord.” Chole’s debut solo album, ‘In Pieces’, will arrive sometime in March. On social media, she posted a teaser for the upcoming album. ‘In Pieces’ won’t include her previous singles “Treat Me” and “Have Mercy.”

Chole and her sister Halle released two albums together – The Kids Are Alright and Ungodly Hour. Along with the song comes a striking music video. Chole is praying in a church as she sings and performs a liturgical dance dressed in white. The video was directed by Madeline Kate Kann.

Chole is following through with her intentions to pray it away. Her growth shines in the new single and video as she is becoming an independent artist and producer. “Pray It Away” is now available on all streaming platforms! Check out the music video below and stay tuned for the release of her upcoming album ‘In Pieces’.
