On September 4th, Justin Bieber shocked fans with a surprise announcement on Twitter and Instagram with the caption ‘Swag II’, midnight tonight.” Within seconds, Justin Bieber fans were sharing their excitement for the release. ‘Swag II’ is a deluxe continuation of ‘Swag’, which he released earlier this summer on July 11, 2025. This new installment mirrors the same concept but switches the aesthetic. While the original leaned on a sleek black visual theme, ‘Swag II’ embraces a softer baby-pink cover. The album is produced by Dijon, Carter Lang, Mike Will Made It, and Buddy Russ. The album also features artists such as Tems, Hurricane Chris, Lil B, and Eddie Benjamin.
The new album, ‘Swag II’, sonically blends Bieber’s signature R&B-pop fusion with trap and a little bit of afrobeats as he collaborates with Tems. Tracks like “SPEED DEMON” and “BETTER MAN” showcase his ability to balance smooth vocals with gritty production, while “I DO” leans into a more vulnerable, stripped-back sound. “I Think You’re Special” is already emerging as a fan favorite, has the makings of a chart hit, combining a sticky hook with Tems’ silky harmonies.
‘Swag II’ also stands out for its intimacy. Many of the songs feel like love letters to Bieber’s beautiful family, with heartfelt odes to his wife Hailey Bieber and tender reflections inspired by their son, Jack. Tracks like “MOTHER IN YOU” and “EVERYTHING HALLELUJAH” offering glimpses into the couple’s love life, while lighter cuts radiate joy and gratitude for the life he’s building offstage. To celebrate the release of ‘Swag II’, Bieber hosted an album launch party in New York City, with celebrity guests including Tate McRae, The Kid Laroi, Lori Harvey, Alex Consani, Livvy Dunne, Ali Earle, Future and many more.
‘Swag’ reached No. 2 on Billboard Hot 200 in July, and Justin has eight studio albums, and seven of them reached No. 1 on the U.S albums chart. The artist has reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 eight times over the course of his career. Before the ‘Swag’ series, Bieber had been on a four-year break, with his last album being ‘Justice’ in 2021. The pop stars’ comeback on the scene makes this two-part ‘Swag’ series feel even more significant as a victory lap with Bieber revisiting his R&B roots and establishing himself as one of the great pop stars in the 21st century.
