THE PRINCESS OF RAP ICE SPICE RETURNS WITH “PHAT BUTT”

Ice Spice has returned with her latest track “Phat Butt.” The track has a more villainous-sounding beat than her previous releases, the style being reminiscent of an early 2000’s video game. She raps about her success thus far, and takes note of the jealousy she faces from others onto her. “B**ch, you know you ain’t like that, post a pic and he like that / Fat butt with a back tat, and I been bad like Mike Jack / Talk a lot, but ain’t sayin’ s**t, I ain’t hear your song, they ain’t playin’ it / Sloppy hoes gon’ chat the most, if you make your bed, better lay in it.” Despite the negativity she receives, the “Deli” rapper proves haters wrong with her continuous success and ability to make chart-topping hits.

“Phat Butt’ is the third pre-released single for her upcoming album ‘Y2K!’ following her two previous hits “Think U The Shit (Fart)” and “Gimme A Light.” The track is accompanied by a music video, featuring the 24-year-old rapping, dancing, and posing in front of a graffitied garage. With cuts to a camcorder-style quality, constant crossfades, spotlight lighting, and overall minimalistic directing style, the music video encapsulates the Y2K vibe, setting the tone for the rest of the album; The album itself is set to be released on July 26th.
