DRAKE GETS PERSONAL ABOUT OPENING UP FOR ICE CUBE FOR $100

Talk about humble beginnings!

In a recent Instagram post, Drake opened up about headlining with Ice Cube for $100 in 2006.

On October 18th, an Instagram account named @TheFlyerVault posted a breakdown of an expense report of a 2006 concert at The Kool Haus where he headlined Ice Cube. According to the Instagram post, this was likely Drake’s first concert and he got paid $100 in Canadian dollars ($72 USD) to perform songs from his debut mixtape, “Room for Improvement.”

Drake took to his Instagram story to repost the original post and captioned it, “This is for anybody getting 100 a show right now … Keep going.”

The “Started from the Bottom” rapper has recently celebrated his 36th birthday in Miami and announced his upcoming album, a collaboration with 21 Savage coming next Friday (Nov. 4).

Four grammy’s, $150 dollar net worth and 122 million Instagram followers later, Drake is going down as one of the best rappers in the game!

I guess we all start somewhere!
