On July 11, Justin Bieber took the media by storm with the release of his seventh studio album. The album came as a surprise to fans as Bieber teased the project only a few hours prior, via social media posts and billboards in various cities across the globe.
The 21-track album contains features from artists like Gunna, Sexyy Red, and Cash Cobain. As well as a few unanticipated skit cameos from social media influencer Druski, who can be heard offering Bieber advice, an ear to listen, and adding a sense of comedic relief to the album.
Within this album, Bieber pays tribute to his wife, Hailey, in multiple tracks. Most notably, “Go Baby,” Walking Away,” and “Devotion.” He also shows love to his 11-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, with “DADZ LOVE,” featuring Lil B. Throughout “SWAG,” Bieber even includes his relationship with God, in which he has been very vocal about over the years. He does so in “GLORY VOICE MEMO” as well as in track 21, “FORGIVENESS,” which is sung by Marvin Winans, who is a Pastor and gospel singer.
After just four weeks since its release, “SWAG” currently sits at #2 in the Billboard Hot 200 and has four singles in the Billboard Hot 100, including “DAISES” which is sitting at #2 also, “YUKON” at #17, “GO BABY” at #18, and “ALL I CAN TAKE” which sits at #21.
