Johnny Da$h, an indenpendet artist, is based in Far Rockaway, NY. He was born in Queens, New York, raised in Jamaica until he was eleven, and has lived in Far Rockaway. His music “genre and style will be in multiple categories like Hip Hop and R&B, Regatón, and dembow. With a Mix between Spanish and English.” Writing his music, he collabs with MIC West, and talking about his growth, Johnny says, “What I enjoy the most about being an artist is I get to be myself and not only see myself grow but hearing it too through my music.”
Johnny Da$h also gives back to his community, “I’ve participated in food drives for the homeless and Charity events for people in need. I want to be more active in the community as it’s not easy to deal with life at the same time. Hopefully, my music career will help me give back to others. Giving back is important to me because I know at points in my life I’ve been in positions where I didn’t have specific resources that I needed. This will help me get to know and connect with the people and see the impact I’m creating for the future artists coming up.”
The independent artist explains why he goes so hard for his craft “I’m currently a car salesman which led me to the moment where I decided to pursue my music fully. I sold a car to a client who is now a good friend of Mine (Linx) Which he told me he did music and I shared my unreleased tracks. He told me I have talent; One thing led to another and he introduced me to Mic West a music producer who’s been in the game for a hot min based in Long Island. I recorded my song “INNA BOOTH” with him and started taking off from there.” His advice he can give out is “Always show up and believe in yourself no matter your circumstances. We tend to be our biggest critics.”
