Meet Lotta Love Zé, the artist behind the unique stage name that was inspired by his loving and protective personality. Born in Berkeley, California, and raised in Oakland, California, Lotta Love Zé is a rising star in the music industry who is making waves with his blend of Trap and Blues music, mixed with R&B. Lotta Love Zé has been in the industry for seven years now and he recorded his first song when he was 16 years old. Music to him feels like his “calling” and it is why he is pursuing it full-time now.
Lotta Love Zé chose his stage name as a way to stand out and to pay tribute to his affectionate and loving nature. “I used to call myself Yung Zay, however, I knew hundreds if not more artists by that name and used to file artist separations on streaming platforms. One day I thought about myself, my personality, and what really stands out about me. I’m a very loving, affectionate, and protective person. I came up with the name, Lotta Love Zé, since my family always called me Zay.
Lotta Love Zé cited James Brown as his favorite male artist because of his artistry,
entrepreneurship, pioneering spirit, civil rights activism, and iconic status. His favorite female artist is Ella Mai, who has had a big influence on his self expression of love in music. “I feel encouraged to keep making positive, warm, affectionate music when I listen to Ella Mai,” he said.
Despite the challenges he has faced in the music industry, Lotta Love Zé remains optimistic and driven. He has had to overcome financial obstacles, job obligations, scammers, and distractions. However, he remains motivated by his family, who he wants to provide for so that they can enjoy traveling and experiencing new things. Lotta Love Zé’s ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on many people. He believes in giving back to his community and has performed at several community events, including a fundraiser for at-risk youth and a memorial for his friend, Damani. This was a life-changing event for him because he received so much love and support.
In the next five years, Lotta Love Zé sees himself as a more impactful person, a major artist, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and role model. He also hopes to get more performances, generate a sustainable income, travel, and network with more individuals in the industry. He is an independent artist who writes and produces all of his work. Lotta Love Zé has released 10 Single projects, 1 EP, and 2 album projects. His newest single, “Empire” is his favorite because he showed his vulnerability. Currently, promoting his three new singles under the name “THE HEARTBREAKING GAME,” Lotta Love Zé revealed that he wrote these songs to better understand his emotions and objectively express himself so others could
relate while listening. Connecting experiences like heartbreak, love, and bliss is the whole reason why he feels that this is his first commercial project or the one that has the potential to break through
