There’s a new and upcoming melodic rapper on the rise and he goes by the name JMC.
JMC, creating his stage name with his initials, was born and raised in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. With his music career just starting, JMC is currently a senior studying at University of Kentucky and plans to graduate before fully pursuing his musical passion.
For the past three years, JMC has been making music on his own, writing all his songs independently. His first single, “Call It Make Believe”, was put out back in 2022, and his most recent one, “Society”, dropped in Nov. 2023.
In total, JMC has four singles released as well as an EP with six tracks. He is currently working on his project titled “FYI”, but is putting it on hold and saving it to complete after he finishes school.
JMC’s genre of melodic rap was influenced by the music he listened to and experienced growing up, including gospel, classical, 60’s-70’s, hip-hop, rap, and pop. With various musical experience and exposure to different genres, JMC appreciates the versatility of every artist in the industry. Furthermore, he hopes that in the future, he gets to collaborate with every artist possible.
So far, his music career has been going smoothly as he adjusts to situations in life. JMC advises all his fans, and everyone in general, to be consistent, never give up, and to be patient as everything will work out in time. He asks that everyone be patient with him and that he promises he will do great things.
