Beyoncé pleasantly surprised fans by releasing a remix of her “Renaissance” hit song “America Has a Problem” with Kendrick Lamar.
A crisp verse by Lamar, who raps on everything from AI (“Even AI gotta practice clonin’ Kendrick”) to the Beyhive (“I’m an honorary Beyhive, let’s see why their diamonds don’t be fly”), opens the new version of the song. After that, Beyoncé picks up for the song’s remaining four minutes and 20 seconds. An American flag constructed of what appears to be red, white, and blue bullets is seen on the remix’s cover image.
Recently, “America Has a Problem” has become increasingly well-known, partly because of Beyoncé’s choreography at the start of her “Renaissance” global tour on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, which sparked a TikTok sensation.
In addition to headline performances at the Governor’s Ball in New York, Lollapalooza in Chicago, Outside Lands in San Francisco, Osheaga in Montreal, and Austin City Limits in Austin, Kendrick has several significant festival engagements scheduled. Recently, Beyoncé began her “Renaissance World Tour” with a string of stadium performances across Europe. She will do a string of North American stadium gigs in July.
