“Pissed Off” is BIA’s fourth single of this year, the previous being “LIGHTS OUT,” “Yeah,” and “808.” This latest single also features the Atlanta-raised rapper Lil Yachty. The haunting instrumental pairs well with both artists styles; BIA has a laid-back yet self-assured flow which juxtaposes nicely with Lil Yachty’s playful yet tough one.
The message is painted out simply with the chorus repeating the lyrics “Somebody just pissed me off.” She later begins the first verse saying, “Somebody gon’ die today, this sound like Jeff in the ride today / I make it slip if she slide today, it’s on the seat of my right-side/ Kissing you bitches goodbye, today.”
Lil Yachty keeps up the energy on his verse with the lyrics, “Every one of my n****s is rich, not one of them rolling your blunt / Head cutter, I’m still on a hunt, I like all of my bitches be cunts / I fuck her and turn up her teeth, you can see this bitch back from the front”
The track also has a unique music video to go with it. The video has a variety of cinematic shots, cartoonish editing, spotlighting, and overall minimalism while feeling larger than life. The contrast throughout the video summarizes the track well, being both hard-hitting yet nonchalant.
