“Player’s Holiday” is originally by hip hop supergroup T.D.W.Y. which was created by member and executive producer Ant Banks. The track also features two other major rappers, Too $hort and Mac Mall. The track ended up becoming a huge hit within the Bay Area hip hop scene. To celebrate the track being 25 years old, P-LO, a producer also from the Bay Area, has collaborated with a handful of artists to create “Player’s Holiday ’25; A modern spin on the classic track.

The track opens up with a piece of the original catchy chorus “Hurry up and don’t be late / ‘Cause you know today’s the day the players play.” Although more upbeat, the track maintains the groove of the original while incorporating the styles of the featured artists. The project has been well received by both fans and other major music artists, Kehlani being one who openly praised the track on P-LO’s Instagram.

“Player’s Holiday ‘25” is also accompanied by a music video, so be sure to watch it below!
