On April 26, Coi Leray released her newest single titled “Can’t Come Back”. This is Leray’s third single this year following “Femme Fatale” and “Wanna Come Thru”.
In “Can’t Come Back”, Leray shows off her music fluidity as the song delivers a different vibe than the regular R&B or hip-hop sound. The song has some funky beats and is reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s.
Furthermore, Leray put out a music video for “Can’t Come Back” with the release of the single. The music video includes visuals that pay tribute to the iconic Janet Jackson, being inspired by Jackson’s music video for “Pleasure Principle”.
Leray teased the release of “Can’t Come Back” with a few posts on Instagram and X. On April 22, Leray posted pictures from the set of the music video for “Can’t Come Back” with the caption as the date of the song release.
The same day, Leray posted a poster concept of the single on X with the date again, but this time revealing the title of the single.
The next day, on X, Leray posted a short clip of visuals from the “Can’t Come Back” music video with the song in the background.
Then, hours prior to the release of the single, Leray posted one more time on Instagram and X with the caption “New music at midnight”.
