Ice Spice kicks off the new year with her latest single, “Think U The Shit (Fart)”, which dropped on Jan. 26.
The single has been teased for a few weeks before it was officially released.
On X, Ice Spice posted a clip of what appears to be a meme of Mario from Super Mario Bros on Jan. 7. The meme had an image of Mario smoking a joint with lyrics to “Think U The Shit (Fart)”.
The song itself has a catchy beat and features a play on words, which leads to the viral lyric “Think you the shit, bitch? You ain’t even the fart.”
Alongside the release of the single, Ice Spice also put out a music video for “Think U The Shit (Fart)”, which is currently sitting at 11 million views as of mid-February.
The video, directed by George and Frederick Buford, shows Ice Spice partying in the city and on the waters of Miami, matching the energy and vibe of the song.
At its debut, “Think U The Shit (Fart)” reached number 37 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. This marked Ice Spice’s highest solo single to appear on the chart. Her second highest solo track with a spot at 41 was “Deli”, which came out in the summer of 2023 on her EP Like..?.
