The track is all about a sensual meeting with someone at a club or party, and wanting to continue the night alone with each other.
The track opens with “We don’t gotta take it slow / I’ma hit the gas if you ready to go / I wanna feel the sweat, breathin’ through your clothes / The way you touch my neck got me ready to fold.” The story moves throughout the song, following up in the chorus which goes, “Why don’t you stay? / Stay here after hours / I know you don’t wanna leave.”
The song has quickly risen to her Top Song chart on Apple Music, is trending on Tik Tok, and is overall receiving a lot of positive feedback. The Californian-singer however, is no stranger to a hit track, with examples such as “CRZY,” “Nights Like This,” “Can I,” and so many more. “After Hours” of course, being her latest addition.
