Latto is back with another single, “Big Mama”, which dropped on June 28. “Big Mama” is Latto’s second solo single of the year after “Sunday Service”.
The track starts out with a slower beat where Latto raps in a more mellow, sincere tone as she reflects on her love life. Once the song gets to its half point, the track switches up and the beat picks up to Latto coming in with a more intense rap.
Latto also put out a music video for “Big Mama”, which visualizes and follows the two different phases of the track. The video gives off a vlog feel, in which Latto records a trip to Miami with her sister with time stamps appearing at the bottom corner of the screen.
In the beginning of the music video, and during the slower half of the song, it shows Latto with her sister getting ready and flying out to Miami. At the part where the beat kicks in, the music video shows Latto and her sister with some friends partying it up on a yacht, followed by a night out in the city. At the end of the video, Latto and her sister are shown still partying as the sun rises.
