Over a year since the arrival of her smash hit single, “Hrs & Hrs,” Muni Long created a new spin on track by releasing the Spanish version “Horas Y Horas.”
“Horas Y Horas,” revamped by Grammy-winning production duo The Avila Brothers, begins with the R&B phenom asking, “¿Pero te puedo cantar…en español?” This translates to the enchanting opener, “But can I sing to you…in Spanish?”
So far, both tracks have generally gotten positive feedback from the audience. The original record was nominated for Best R&B Song and Performance at the forthcoming 2023 Grammy Awards, so seeing people swoon over the Spanish version isn’t altogether shocking.
Long recently won Best R&B Performance for “Hrs & Hrs” at the 65th Grammy Awards. “Hrs & Hrs” was initially released in November 2021 on Long’s sophomore EP, Public Display of Affection. The RIAA certified “Hrs & Hrs” platinum in April 2022 for selling more than one million equivalent copies.
