NLE Choppa, the breakout rapper from Memphis, has finally dropped the highly-anticipated sequel to his 2019 EP, Cottonwood. The album, “Cottonwood 2”, was teased by the artist at the start of the year, with promises of a star-studded effort that would re-establish his position in the game.
The album comprises 22 tracks and features a range of guest appearances from some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Kevin Gates, Polo G, and G Herbo, among others. The album’s lead singles, “Slut Me Out,” “Champions,” and “Ain’t Gonna Answer” featuring Lil Wayne, provided a sneak peek into the artist’s new music, with the latter track showcasing NLE Choppa’s inner Weezy energy.
In addition to his own releases, the 20-year-old rapper has been featured on several other tracks, including “FAITHFUL” by Macklemore, “Ostre Pestki” by Malik Montana, and “9 Lives” by DDG. In February, he participated in a panel and performance at Grammy In The Schools.
