Renowned rapper and producer J. Cole surprises fans with new track “procrastination (broke).” The track delves into Cole’s inspirations, his working toward new music, and his thankfulness regarding the lack of struggles he faces in his everyday life. “procrastination (broke)” has been released on producer bvtman’s YouTube channel. So, although the song already has many meanings, there is an additional story about the album artwork as well as its release solely being on YouTube.
The album artwork depicts a text message that J. Cole sent to bvtman providing the story behind him using his beat. After merely searching “J. Cole type beat” bvtman’s was the first to show up and Cole enjoyed it enough to create a song with it. Cole then sent over the audio file to bvtman stating that he felt it was best to live on his channel as a way to show appreciation for producers, all of the hard work they put into creating beats and “…sharing their work with the world.”
Producer bvtman took to Instagram to express his gratitude toward J. Cole for using his work. He states, “Yo. If you know me you know what this post means to me & what this song means to me. If you know me you know this is my peace finally, my dream.” Bvtman follows up by sharing his perspective of the situation and tags J. Cole and Dreamville, letting everyone know the track is on his YouTube channel now.
