On May 17, female rap artist Saweetie released her single titled “NANi”.
“NANi” is Saweetie’s second solo single that was released this year, following “Richtivities” back in February. In fact, this single came just a few weeks after Saweetie put out her EP, Pretty Hu$tler Mix, which included “Richtivities”.
In a recent press release for “NANi”, Saweetie describes the track as “a soundtrack to a good time” and that it “gives main character energy”. There was a lot of anticipation towards the single, and so the track was well-received by the fans, many of which called it the perfect song for the summer.
Along with the release of the single, a music video for “NANi” was also dropped. The music video was directed by Chandler Lass.
The music video opens up with Saweetie brushing her pink hair before going to a pool party and having fun with some of her girl friends. Throughout the music video, there were also a few product placements shown from Smirnoff’s Smash Vodka Sodas.
The pool party in the music video then turns into a bigger party where Saweetie breaks into choreography, showing off her dance skills.
