On May 10th, rap group Shoreline Mafia made a comeback and released their newest single “Heat Stick”. This is Shoreline Mafia’s first track to drop since their album Mafia Bidness back in 2020, which included features with Future, YG, Mike Sherm, and others.
When they started out in 2016, Shoreline Mafia was initially a group of four artists: OHGEESY, Fenix Flexin, Master Kato, and Rob Vicious. After releasing Mafia Bidness, Fenix Flexin left the group, leaving the three remaining. However, it wasn’t long before the rest of the group disbanded.
Four years later, the West-Coast based group finally reunited from their long hiatus in which each artist worked on their own solo careers. Now, Shoreline Mafia is a rap duo between OHGEESY and Fenix Flexin.
For being their first track in four years, Shoreline Mafia’s “Heat Stick” debuted at No. 98 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. This makes the group’s third time ever to reach Billboard’s charts. Shoreline Mafia’s EP Party Pack Vol. 2 and Mafia Bidness were the other two projects to chart.
“Heat Stick” dropped with a music video to accompany it directed by David Camarena. The video includes visuals of OHGEESY and Fenix Flexin experiencing a night of partying and debauchery.
