On Oct. 20, Summer Walker released ‘Girls Need Love (Girls Mix)’ EP in celebration of her mixtape, ‘Last Day of Summer’, reaching its fifth year anniversary. The EP consists of five versions of “Girls Need Love”, three of which are featured collaborations with Victoria Monét, Tyla, and Tink.
With the multi-platinum success that came with “Girls Need Love”, along with Walker’s first remix of the single featuring Drake, fans were more than excited to hear the new versions with the upcoming female artists.
Walker hinted at the collaborations with a few posts on X (formally known as Twitter) on Oct. 16, four days prior to the anniversary of ‘Last Day of Summer’.

On the image was a screenshot of a tweet that Walker posted on March 4, 2019. The tweet was of Walker asking to “text ur man ‘I just need some d–k with no complications’ and tweet me his reply lol”, and right below it was her tagging Victoria Monét, Tink, and Tyla.
