Nicki Minaj added yet another track to her greatest hits album, ‘Queen Radio: Volume 1’. She decided to do something different and remix the song “Likkle Miss”, originally released by Jamaican dancehall artist, Skeng, back on July 8. The original video racked up 2.9 million views in just one month of its release!
The Queen of Rap took to Instagram last month to give fans a sneak peak of her surprise remix by captioning her photo, “THE ALBUM. OUT NOW. Adding a surprise on it tomorrow”, back on August 28th. So far “Likkle Miss” has almost 600,000 plays on Spotify since its release.
“Likkle Miss Remix” was added as a surprise track on this iconic album, which includes hit songs “Super Freaky Girl’, “Roman’s Revenge”, “Did it On’em”, “Beez in The Trap”, along with 25 other iconic Nicki songs.
Minaj scored herself her first No. 1 solo hit with “Super Freaky Girl”. This was the first time since 1998 that a female rap track was in the No. 1 spot. Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” topped the charts that year.
Queen Nicki continues to be a force in the hip-hop industry and is always thankful for her fans. In reaction to her No. 1 hit, she posted a Tweet saying “You did it barbz. You did it. I love you so much. Like so so SO much. Thank you.”
