“Timeless” has that typical The Weeknd vibe, a lowkey trap beat paired with melodic vocals and a dark, sultry mood. The track features Playboi Carti who actually opens the song, utilizing all of his different vocal tones, adding some variety to the track. The pair had previously teamed up on the track “Popular” which was created for the television series ‘The Idol.’
Boosting himself up, the track is all about how himself and his music are timeless. The “Die For You” artist showcases his confidence in the chorus with the lyrics, “Ever since I was a jit, I been legit / You should let her go, she wanna be it / Double-O tatted on her body, yeah / It don’t matter what they say, I’m timeless.”
“Timeless” is the second pre-release single following “Dancing in the Flames.’ Both singles have quickly become fan favorites, taking the number one and two spots on his top songs on Apple Music. The tracks will be a part of his upcoming album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ which fans anticipate will be released soon.
