As Summer 2023 heats up, the dynamic collaboration of two Compton natives, Tyga and Kalan.FrFr, has emerged as a musical highlight. Recently, they unveiled the official music video for their hit track, “BUTTERFLY COUPE,” a certified party anthem perfect for any occasion.
Kalan.FrFr shared his inspiration for the song, revealing, “I was in the studio pondering how to make an impact, you know, rolling up to the club in a coupe with butterfly doors, outshining everyone. Hitmaka and OG Parker introduced the beat during a session, and I instantly connected with it. Hitmaka’s presence really ignites the creative spark in artists. I reached out to Tyga to gauge his interest, and he requested the record. The rest, as they say, is history.”
This electrifying collaboration between two prominent West Coast artists brought “BUTTERFLY COUPE” to life with a visually captivating music video, directed by Diego. Amidst a backdrop of beautiful women, the video showcases the artists and, of course, the iconic butterfly coupes.
Kalan.FrFr praised Diego Cruz’s visionary direction, emphasizing his ability to capture Los Angeles’ car culture despite hailing from Detroit. The video featured an array of butterfly-doored cars, including McLarens, Lambos, and a Drift Car, perfectly mirroring the song’s lyrics. With an infectious party atmosphere, Tyga eagerly anticipated the shoot.
