THROWBACK THURSDAY: ‘WEST LA BABY’ BY MANN

On this throwback Thursday, we are looking back at the album ‘West LA Baby’ by the rapper/hip-hop artist Mann. The album was released in March of 2020 and includes 10 tracks. All of the tracks have an old-school, laid-back vibe that are easy to groove to, showcasing his West-Coast roots.

One track that stands out based on the descriptions stated prior is “True To This (feat. Hit-Town and Yelohill).” The track is all about making money, having fun, and keeping it real; The chorus backs this up saying “If you’re getting’ money raise the roof to this / All my real n****s stay true to this / You know we for life always keep it G’d up.”

Despite being born and raised on the West-Coast, he was previously signed to Def Jam which is a predominantly East-Coast label. This achievement was done at the young age of 18, skyrocketing his career and unlocking new potential for future endeavors. Mann has been in the game since 2008, leading to features with legends such as 50 Cent, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, and many others. He is still currently releasing music and his most recent track “May 28th” came out this past February.
