Cardi B has returned with her new single ‘Outside’ that also came with the announcement of her long awaited second album ‘Am I the Drama?’. The new single is seemingly a direct response to what has been going on in her personal life. As we all know, she has had drama with her ex-husband Offset and her new NFL boo Stefon Diggs. The ‘I Like It’ rapper opens ‘Outside’ with an obvious dig at Offset discussing his past decisions that she does not approve of before she talks about her going outside herself and that she needs to allow herself to be outside after being in a relationship for so long. Then she says “favorite player from your favorite team, he in my dms”, a clear hint at her new relationship with Patriots Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs. Cardi even goes as far as to mention Lebron James and his wife Savannah showing how free Cardi feels now.
After releasing her single, she finally announced her new album ‘Am I the Drama?’, as of right now we know three songs that will be on there, her new song ‘Outside’, ‘WAP’, and ‘Up’. The ‘Invasion of Privacy’ artist has not dropped an album in 7 years, which is a different kind of long for an artist nowadays. With the wait and the massive hits she already has on there, Cardi is due for a big album release in September and a big rest of the year in general.
