Hey guys, listen up! J. Cole recently started his new blog, The Algorithm, where he shares new episodes from his Inevitable audio series. Recently, he posted that he’s “locked in” on making new music, and just a few days later, he dropped a brand new track called “cLOUDs.”
Cole shared on his blog, “I just wanted to share this. I made it a few days ago, added a second verse, and thought, ‘Hey, I have a blog now, I can post whatever I want!’” He didn’t even have a title for the song until right before he posted it. Which I think is really dope!
The beat on “cLOUDs” is super intense, and Cole’s raps are really deep. He says things like, “I’m that bass in your trunk, the bullet that missed Trump/ The gun that jammed ’cause it seemed God had other plans.” It’s like, whoa! Those lines really get you thinking.
This is Cole’s first release since his mixtape “Might Delete Later” last year, which included a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar. But “cLOUDs” feels different, more personal maybe? Either way, it’s got me super excited for what’s coming next.
