2 Chainz and Lil Wayne are back at it again with another joint album. As a sequel to ColleGrove, the two rappers have paired up once more to create Collegrove 2. This news is not only exciting to fans, but 2 Chainz and Wayne also seem very excited to be working together on this project.
ColleGrove was released back in 2016, and the album had big hits on it such as, “Bounce” and “Watch Out”. The project is titled ColleGrove to give a shoutout to their individual hometowns. 2 Chainz is from College Park in Georgia, and Lil Wayne is from Hollygrove in New Orleans. The 2016 album had many notable lyrics and songs filled with witty punchlines.
“I had a sit down with Farrakhan, turn the White House to the Terrordome” and “Know what I mean, see I’m the king like I’m from Akron, I’m going overboard, somebody call the captain” are just a few great lines from the album.
ColleGrove 2 was originally set to be released in 2021 but had to be postponed. As of right now, it still doesn’t have a set release date but it is supposed to be dropped this year. Be on the lookout for it.
2 Chainz will also be releasing his solo studio album, “Dope Don’t Sell itself” on February 4th.
