NBA YoungBoy and Nicki Minaj teamed up again, this time on NBA YoungBoy’s new album special with DJ Drama, Ma’ I Got A Family!
Coined for its slower and more intimate sound, “I Admit” was released on October 21st alongside the other 18 tracks in the album. “I Admit” was quickly dubbed a ride-or-die love song as NBA YoungBoy sings about how he has a woman that will be down for him no matter what. Nicki Minaj also lets her vocals shine through on this track while incorporating her unique flow.
The widely-discussed track came as a surprise to many when it was announced on his YouTube community page earlier in the week it dropped. Ma’ I Got A Family is NBA YoungBoy’s twenty-first mixtape in total, but his sixth release this year, followed by his mixtape earlier in October, 3800 Degrees. Ma’ I Got A Family only consists of two features, one being with Nicki Minaj and the other being with Yeat.
With production by Yung Lan and Khris James, this isn’t the first collaboration between the Queen of Rap and YoungBoy himself. Their first song together, “What That Speed Bout?!” released in November 2020, featured a bright music video to accompany it.
