“Rake It Up” singer Yo Gotti turned 41 on May 19, 2022. He continued his yearly tradition by gifting himself two very lavish presents ahead of his concert birthday bash. Yes, you read that correctly. Two.
To celebrate turning 41, the Collective Music Group founder spent a total of $1.2 million on not one, but two custom-built Rolls-Royce vehicles. He flexed this purchase by writing on Instagram, “$1.2 Million in Gifts 🎁 I Fell in Luv with Twins 👯♀️ 💛🖤”.
While this may sound excessive to those who aren’t familiar with Yo Gotti’s celebratory spending habits, it’s actually quite usual. Every year, Gotti treats himself to some rather pricey gifts.
In 2021, Gotti’s birthday presents to himself consisted of two watches from Richard Mille, now valued at around $1.1 million dollars. That’s not too far off from what he spent on this year’s Phantom and Cullinan. He had also purchased a Richard Mille watch back in 2020 for this same occasion, but paired it with a Rolls-Royce truck and a Ferrari, making the total spent $1.2 million. Not to mention he customized all three of these to be turquoise, ensuring that everything would match while flexing on social media.
In a second Instagram post, he shares with his fans that he’s in need of someone to drive these vehicles around for him, and you can believe that the pay is pretty good. “Looking for a Chauffeur 👮🏼 Paying good…💰 💛 🖤 250k ❓ #YellowTopHat Extra”. It’s clear that Yo Gotti doesn’t spend lightly when it comes to celebrating milestones.
He’s also continuing his eighth annual concert tradition “Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash”, and the lineup is highly anticipated. In the past, artists including Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, and Rick Ross have taken the stage. It will take place on July 15 in Memphis, TN.
