Chinese Kitty letting fans know that the “Boy ain’t Mine”

Chinese Kitty dropped her single, “Boy ain’t mine,” on all major streaming platforms on February 23rd, 2023. The featuring song is a sample of the infamous 1998 R&B and pop melody, “The Boy is mine,” by Brandy and Monica. What you may remember of the previous lyrics, as smooth as the buttercream, is no longer recognizable in the updated version. Now, the following song is immersed in raunchy and gritty hip-hop sound and lyrics.

Chinese Kitty holds the attention of her listeners for less than three minutes with her slow tempo but powerful bass. It’s a New York vibe for the newly single girls moving on to better things! Chinese Kitty repeatedly introduces punchline after punchline while reminding the audience why the “Boy ain’t mine.” For the most part, I would have to say the structure of the song is very catchy, with a good hook and with a precise sense of timing.
