Right in time for anyone not celebrating Valentine’s Day, Latto dropped a remix to SZA’s ‘Smoking On My Ex Pack’ off her new album, “SOS.”
Released Jan 26th, a YouTube video of the Atlanta-born rapper remixing SZA’s track made its way to different social media platforms becoming the topic of discussion for many. With a slight change of bass, making the song sound a bit deeper, Latto goes in on a lover who seems to have turned into a bitter hater of hers.
“Damn, this n***a did me foul/he got me losing weight/tried to go big and now he losing faith/i done seen hoes come and go/so i ain’t never phased.” She raps.
With the overall meaning of ‘Smoking On My Ex Pack’ generally meaning to properly disrespect your ex and move on from the previous relationship, Latto’s verse adds something a bit spicier to the track. Her lyrics aid SZA’s already aggressive track. Alongside this, the music video for Latto’s remix just looks like she’s unbothered and having fun with it, matching the vibe!
Hopefully the two collaborate, especially since SZA responded enthusiastically to the remix under Latto’s Instagram snippet!
