Last week, on January 12th, 2023, Jason Jackson, also known as, 03 Greedo was released from prison after almost 5 years. During the time he was incarcerated, he released a steady stream of music, with his last album being released in 2020 titled, ‘Load It Up Vol 1,’ his first full-length project. Flash forward two and a half years, and 03 Greedo has continued an impressively consistent release schedule. Coupling his latest surprise mixtape with his release.
‘Free 03’ released January 9th, 2023, was fully produced by Mike Free. The 15-track long mixtape features collaborations with artists like the late and great Drakeo the Ruler in “No Free Features,” a long-time friend and collaborator who unfortunately passed in 2021. Alongside the likes of BlueBucksClan in “Pourin”, OHGEESY in “I Can’t Control Myself, and KenTheMan on “Drop Down.” The album commemorates 03 Greedo’s struggle with the system and his subsequent freedom from it.
