With now 16 studio albums in the books, Gucci Mane recently dropped his most recent album, ”Breath of Fresh Air” on October 17th through Atlantic Records!

This album is full of a bunch of great collaborations with artists in the industry. We have banger features from, Lil Baby, Young Dolph, J Cole, Roddy Rich, 21 Savage, Kodak Black and it doesn’t even stop there! The album features 24 tracks and since it was released as a double album, that means if you purchase the physical copy there will be 12 tracks on each side. Production on the album was handled by big names in the such as, Mike Will Made-It, London On Da Track, Hitkidd and more.
Album Inspiration
Gucci Mane is leaving his past where it is, hence the name of the album, “Breath Of Fresh Air”. In this album he wants listeners to see him in a different light compared to his old sound. In this album he wants to capture the person he has become and ”kind of lead by example and show people that it is more to rap about than my opps and all that.” he told New Music Daily Radio in an interview. With this project, Mane wants people to know that regardless of his success, there was pain behind it all, and that his life and experiences wasn’t all luxurious and talk about topics that are beyond the superficial ones like ladies, cars and jewelry. “Breath Of Fresh Air” is an album of reflection on one’s life and taking the opportunity for a new approach to the rap game.
Mane is not once the rapper or man he used to be. From his album cover alone, with his wife and two kids, dripped down head to toe in matching fur, we know he is a family man. He continues to make strides in an industry that is far different from the one he was made in and that’s what makes this 16th studio album so special and makes it a full circle moment for him. From making his biggest albums during his incarceration to having freedom, “Breath Of Fresh Air” allows him to speak his truth on the music game and provide words of wisdom. In a recent interview with Apple Music, he said, “I feel like now when I do a verse with somebody like Baby, who the kids look up to and listen to, I try to put some game on them instead of just rapping.” telling us that he wants to make a difference in the industry and use his experiences to guide those rising artists behind him.
