The Weeknd and Ariana Grande have come together to release a surprise remix of The Weeknd’s track “Die For You.” The track was initially released back in 2016 on his album ‘Starboy,’ quickly becoming a fan-favorite on the overall well-received album. The track features a new verse by Ariana in place of Abel’s original 2nd verse, in addition to various adlibs sprinkled throughout.
Grande stirred up some suspicion about what this project was after posting a Tik Tok of herself doing some work on the track, in which fans could clearly hear what she was singing. Merely a day later, the project was officially announced, and then released shortly after. This of course, is a huge deal to both fandoms since “Die For You” is as stated previously a fan-favorite, and since we have not heard much music from Grande since her acceptance of the role Glinda the good witch in the upcoming ‘Wicked’ film.
The pair have previously collaborated with “Save Your Tears,” which was done in a similar fashion, Abel initially releasing the track, and then Grande being featured later on. As well as “Love Me Harder” on Ariana Grande’s album ‘My Everything’ which many fans feel as though helped the Toronto-singer step into a larger level of stardom. The two have been good friends ever since and have continued to root for each other’s success.
