Grammy-nominated artist Saweetie and her foundation, ICY Baby, announced a financial literacy program for children set to launch in January 2023. The new program will focus on impacting the youth and providing tools that will promote wellness and financial literacy.
Regarding the new program, Saweetie tweeted, “Youth aged 7-17 years old are eligible to participate in the six-week program and receive a funded debit card, educational resources, and information about saving, budgeting, and financial planning.”
Saweetie and her grandmother, Roxane Harper, launched ICY Baby Foundation in 2021. The non-profit organization focuses on inspiring black and brown communities to pursue their dreams. ICY Baby Foundation finically empowers youth through education and financial literacy to become entrepreneurs and leaders. Serving communities in Sacramento, Oakland, and Las Vegas, the foundation plans on expanding across the country to bridge the racial wealth gap.
