Returning her music hiatus, female artist DaniLeigh dropped her newest single, “Dead To Me”. 

This track takes her listeners on a journey to a deeply personal turn down the last year of the singers life. The track touches on topics such as her previous relationship, the breakup and being pregnant. 

While the musician does not name the person from her previous relationship, it has been reported that the song was inspired by the actions of rapper DaBaby, who is the father to DaniLeigh’s child mentioned in the song. 

Along with the vulnerable lyrics, DaniLeigh published a music video directed by Edgar Esteves. 

Throughout the video, various visuals matching her energy and messages throughout the song. DaniLeigh can be seen taking time to enjoy nature while delivering some of her raw and emotional lyrics. 

“Dead To Me” is the first single to be released off of the singer and songwriters new EP, “My Side”. After kickstarting her return she gave fans another sneak peak of her new era with her second single, “Heartbreaker”.
