In 2020, Saucy Santana came out with the viral hit “Material Girl.” The song was trending all over TikTok and the music video received over 10 million views. An unlikely duo joined forces to remix the viral hit. Renamed “Material Gworrllllllll!” ft. Madonna, this song puts a fresh spin on the original. This track is energetic and fun as the two rap over an electronic production. “Material Gworrllllllll!” has received over 40 million streams on Spotify. Over an exciting beat, Madonna opens the song rapping, “I’m not fancy, I just love fancy s–t/ Make a budget disappear like a magic trick/ Make him buy me everything, I don’t have to pick/ Only hold a conversation if the bag is thick.”
During the New York Pride, in June, Saucy Santana and Madonna joined forces. Madonna invited Saucy Santana to perform a mash-up of Santana’s hit and her classic with the same title. Madonna made her debut in the 80s and it is gratifying to see her work with a different generation. She has continued to move forward with the times, making her timeless.
Madonna has also teamed up with Beyonce. The pair remixed the lead track “Break My Soul”, from Beyonce’s album Renaissance, and created “The Queens Remix.” Saucy Santana and Big Latto teamed up for the vibrant single “Booty.” “Material Gworrllllllll!” ft.
