Bruised is a movie that follows MMA fighter Jacki Justice aka Pretty Bull, on her journey to getting back in the ring. Emmy winner Halle Berry plays Jackie, and you can tell she put her all into this character.
The once talented fighter now struggles with an addiction to alcohol; she is in a toxic relationship with her manager. On top of that, she just got her young son back – a son that thought his mother was dead. It’s very evident that her back is against the wall, but she proves mama ain’t raise no punk.
An opportunity arises for her to get back in the ring, and she fights tooth and nail to prove her doubters wrong. It’s a must-watch film, and after you watch the movie, you will also want to tune into the soundtrack. Since the film follows a story of a female, it only makes sense to have an all-female soundtrack. Yes, you read right. The 13 track album is all by women.
